In 2026, the City of Fairhope put together an entire educational exhibit focused on hurricane preparedness—something I, Chelsey, specifically asked for and genuinely appreciate the City of Fairhope listening and responding to.

That kind of community education matters.

If you live in Fairhope or one of our surrounding communities, make a habit of paying attention to the resources being offered locally. Read the information that comes with your utility bill. Watch for educational events hosted by the city. Talk to our local shopkeepers downtown about upcoming events that might pique your interest. You may find something that keeps your family better informed, better entertained, and better prepared for hurricane season.
